Opportunities for a just transition in climate action and NDCs

Mainstreaming just transition elements into the NDCs and associated climate action helps countries facilitate a holistic approach to more effective and equitable climate policies that prioritize social elements alongside emissions reductions, scaling effective NDC development, planning, implementation, and mobilizing finance for the benefit of all. 

This session brings together just transition practitioners to share best practices, successes, and challenges to integrating just transition in climate action and NDCs. Key topics of discussion will include: social protection, finance and policy alignment, transition impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and social dialogue, and skills and jobs.
