This opening panel conversation focuses on governance and policy processes that enable just, feasible, and financeable NDCs. Panellists will share lessons learned from NDC implementation and the first NDC update cycle, will speak on the roles of different actors driving ambitious NDCs, and will look ahead to the next NDC update cycle.

The session will highlight the connection between transparency and NDCs and the ramifications at the national level. Moreover, it will explore the role of transparency beyond reporting in the international climate agenda.

This session will focus on the challenges and opportunities for industry decarbonization and provide background on the open and inclusive international Climate Club. The Club was established to support the effective implementation of the Paris Agreement by accelerating climate action and increasing ambition, with a particular focus on the industry sector.
